Photos

My creative background really began when I pursued my modeling endeavors at 17, leaving me with media and print work published both nationally and internationally for commercial and fashion brands around the world.

  • I had my first photoshoot done by Brian Higgins, a previous Ford NY model photographer who helped jumpstart my career. He helped to provide me with my first portfolio of photos to show versatility in my modeling capabilities. The more versatile you are in your portfolio the more potential jobs you can book.

I have done everything from underwater photoshoots to very, very long commercial video production sets. I have been printed and on the cover of multiple media publications and print magazines. Some of the photographers I have shot with worked with Victoria's Secret models, Elle, Vogue, Nike, and some of the most cutting edge creatives and stylists in the fashion, hair, and make-up industry.

What is most important to me is the energy that we cultivate during shoots. Not all shoots can be easy, and a positive and upbeat mood can elevate the many tired individuals in the room.

“From our first shoot to the present, Heather Leih has yet to ever disappoint. She’s a rock star, a professional, and has her way of bringing fun and humor into the creative process. There’s rarely a bad photo when working with her. As a fashion photographer, you don’t always get to work with models who simply know how to move and emote the way you want. That’s not my experience with Heather. There’s chemistry when we shoot and there’s a standard in her work. She’s always a 10 in my opinion.” - Jim Fury Hesterman

  • Modeling for me is an art form. I move in my photos like I do for video. There’s always something to be engaging with the audience about. All eyes are on you and you are somewhere in this made-up world in your mind telling yourself a story so you can empathize and emote that energy for the camera. Odd, isn’t it? That’s art.
