Sunshine Acres Children’s Home Boutique & Donation Center - Consultant

sunshineacresstores.org

Known as the Miracle in the Desert, Sunshine Acres Children’s Home began more than 60 years ago by Reverend Jim and Vera Dingman, who carried a desire to give their lives to caring for children who are hurting and a faith that God would provide all they needed. Today, Sunshine Acres still is a place of hope for children. No matter the reason why children come to our home – parents in prison, a parent too ill to care for the child or homelessness – they can count on Sunshine Acres for a safe place to call home, food, clothing, activities and, most importantly, love. No child is ever turned away for financial reasons. By shopping or donating your goods and time to our Thrift Stores and Boutique, you play an active role in sustaining our Miracle in the Desert!

We are more than just a unique name. Pronounced: “go-Lick-Ity”. Funny back story that you probably won’t be too interested in. Regardless, silly bedtime stories are not the focus of what we would like to share with you.

The future is almost here, as it always is, and the world of “Curated Experiences” from a local and organized level has yet to be tapped. You don’t think so? Let’s try this again. To date, there is currently no organized platform to give you various activities to do AND will curate your own personal itinerary with only the best of the best of that local area.

Who do we think we are, you say? Allow us to introduce ourselves. Our team is happy to be here for your experience. We would love to engage with you however that best fits. Take a look around and uncover the powers we combined of “local & grassroots marketing” meets “professional event curators”.  An experience you won’t soon forget.

Modeling

It has been an incredible and life-changing shift of perspective during these last 10 years in the modeling industry. Not only have I walked in fashion shows like LA Fashion Week, and traveled around the world to places like Greece for months, but I have developed and directed a majority of my fashion shoots that have landed us publications and features with companies like Levis Austria, Vogue Italia, Vogue UK, celebrity skincare beauty lines, and A-list celebrity designers. I have had incredible talent and mentors to learn from that taught me much of what I know.

Modeling is certainly not the most glamourous job and it’s also one of the most humbling. Your kindness and work ethic to hustle is just as important as the glow from your outer self. I also have been very open that modeling was the art form that deeply helped me transform the childhood traumas I experienced into post-traumatic growth. I have not only worked with major commercial and fashion photographers but also artists and filmmakers who wanted to share a story.
